Laura leads the test development team, which is responsible for all operational activities for the state of Kansas, including item and test form development activities for a variety of assessment projects such as the Kansas Assessment Program and the Career Pathways Collaborative. Under Laura’s direction, team members with expertise in the academic content areas as well as universal design and accessibility, classical psychometrics and IRT, and certification and licensure successfully collaborate to produce high-quality, reliable, and valid assessments.

Lauren coordinates the development and implementation of the reading test items for formative, interim, and summative assessments for the Kansas Assessment Program. She collaborates with the Kansas State Department of Education and Kansas educators to develop assessment materials that are aligned to the standards and that reflect current teaching practices in the state.

Gretchen oversees the development of the new management and reporting tool which will be used for a variety of assessment programs including Kansas State Assessments, Dynamic Learning Maps, and Career Pathways. She also conducts research on issues related to the use of Kansas State Assessment scores.

Angela leads the development and implementation of the formative and interim assessment programs. She works with officials at the Kansas State Department of Education on efforts to assist educators in implementing the interim assessment and to develop tools for teachers to use as part of the formative assessment process.

Hyun-jeong conducts research on issues relating to the Kansas Alternate Assessment (KAA), Kansas Alternate Modified Measures (KAMM), and general education assessments for students with disabilities. She also writes grant proposals for CETE.

Cameron oversees all test development activities for the Career Pathways Assessment System (cPass) project from establishing measurable content standards to standard setting and reporting. He also serves as the point of contact for all states within the Career Pathways Collaborative. In addition, Cameron manages day-to-day activities for the cPass project.
