Use an Existing Test
An easy way to start using the KCA TestBuilder is to use previously built formative tests. Existing reading assessments are built for students according to passage type, such as narrative or expository. Existing math assessments include items from each standard, benchmark, or indicator group.
Instructions
Go to http://kca3-tb.cete.us and enter the user name and password assigned to you by your building administrator.
To Use an Existing Test, click on Existing Tests at the top of the page.
You may search tests by selecting the subject and/or grade levels. Hold down the control key to select multiple subject and grade levels, then click Search Tests. You can you also search by keywords.
From the results listed, select an existing test. Click Add to My Tests to place a copy of a test in your My Tests folder.
Click on New Administration to prepare the test for administration to students.
Enter a Name, Description, Password, and the Time your test will be available. You can elect to give students feedback about incorrect answers, and/or include a confidence survey that will help you decide which students may need more practice.
On the next page, note the Session ID and Password. Students will need to login with this Session ID and Password in order to take the test.
